  1. What are the guidelines for ordering new software and hardware for my school?
    All purchases must be approved through the Technology Department. This eliminates possible conflicts with hardware and software currently in place. Please contact the Help Desk for further information.
  2. What are the minimum specifications for purchasing a new computer?
    512 mb RAM, 20gb hard drive, Windows 2000 or XP, ethernet card (if for schools), modem (if for home), CD rewritable drive, integrated sound card, speakers (if desired), 17" monitor (or larger), 3 year warranty.

  4. I am new staff member at West Lee, how do I access the Novell network?
    After the computer is cut on, a log in box will appear. Your username is your first initial, then last name. For example, if your name is John Smith, type in your user name as jsmith. The password is set as a default of "password". Once you log into Novell for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password for security reasons.
  5. Does West Lee offer any technology workshops for teachers to attend for CEU credit?
    School Link is the online staff development system that all Lee County schools use to locate and register for technology staff development workshops. Click here to access Schoollink. Log into school link using the same username and password that is used to access the Novell network.
